WHAT IS NEP?

The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) is the first education policy of 21st Century. This policy proposes the revision & revamping of all aspects of the education structure, including its regulation and governance, to create a new system that is aligned with the aspirational goals of 21st century

SALIENT FEATURES OF NEP:-

The New Education Policy envisages that the curriculum pedagogy of our institutions develop deep sense of respect towards the fundamental duties and constitutional values.

The extant 10+2 structure in school education will be modified with a new pedagogical and curricular restructuring of 5+3+3+4 covering ages 3 to 18 years.

The concept of Balvatika system has been introduced from Pre- Primary to Grade 2 to regulate Early Childhood Care and Education Curriculum (ECCEC). The highest priority of this is to achieve "Foundational Literacy and Numeracy" by all the students upto Grade 3, (The ability to read and perform basic operations with numbers) which is indispensable prerequisite.
